Employing a weaver’s approach to sculpture, Tiffany Loy uses fibre as a medium to explore colour, structure, dimension, and tension. This specially commissioned installation unfolds as a series of fluid, elongated forms responding to the strong linearity of the corridor, guiding sightlines towards the panoramic view from the cantilevered bridge.
Part of Loy’s ongoing Depth Exploration series, the handwoven installation reveals the three-dimensional potential and material fluidity of woven fibre. As the work is observed from different positions, the material shifts in colour intensity, and form.

Born 1987, Singapore
Tiffany Loy is a Singaporean artist and educator trained in industrial design in Singapore, and textile-weaving in Kyoto. She graduated from the Royal College of Art with an MA in Textiles, and was a recipient of the DesignSingapore Scholarship.
Tiffany’s weaverly and investigative approach to art-making employs the pliable line to explore our perception of colour, depth, fluidity, and visual resolution. Minuscule details compel viewers to exercise their eyes, indulge in the act of observing, and unpack the mechanics of visual processing.
